Digital transformation begins with lead management, helping to solve operational problems through technological tools and support from IT departments.

Even though the digital revolution is typically linked to the incorporation of new technologies and the IT departments’ growth in companies, the real transformation must be born within the planning and leadership branches.

Acquiring high-end technology and cloud space is worthless if these modernization processes aren’t articulated with our company’s and collaborators’ operational needs.

So there can be a deep and lasting digital transformation, we must detect the indispensable operational functions of our companies, and automate them.

If, as leaders, we manage our resources optimally, we’ll not only achieve the commercial goals we set, but we’ll advance the application of digital solutions to other aspects of our field.

Then, where do we start to implement change in our companies to lead them through a digital transformation?

In this, I believe what Mike Lewis, Solutionize Global’s Solutions Director, believes: “employees must be at the center of any transformation”.

The well-being of the collaborators and helping them solve their operational problems should be the first engine to move our companies toward digital transformation.

Doing this will not only allow us to evolve commercially but will create support and motivation within our companies.

This process must be accompanied by the deep and detailed planning that lets us detect the changes that must be made, the specific points that should begin to be changed first, and the technological solutions available to us.

This can only be achieved if there’s a truly involved leadership, in touch with the needs of our collaborators and the improvement opportunities that exist in our companies.

The main agents of change are us, the company leaders; we must be able to establish constant communications with all the branches, to detect those that are vital and more suited to sustain the initial transformations.

We have to be able to develop an effective, close and strategic leadership, together with continuous planning, to finally lead our companies to a useful, prosperous, and lasting technological future.
